It's been around 20 days since I have uploaded my first video on YouTube but I got just 38 subscribers (most of them are inactive), 346 total views for my 8 videos and 10 hours of watch time. Is it normal for a new YouTube channel?

As per the Youtube Channel Marketing Expert. it's important to have loyal subscribers, not just subscribers ok. If you have loyal subscribers they will view your content right? Because if you have subscribers who are not interested in your content whenever you will upload a video they will just not view it.

so you won't get any views and now the question is how you will get loyal subscribers? Initially, if you will provide good content and you will keep improving the quality of your content, and if people genuinely feel that your channel is beneficial for them they will subscribe to it. So if you have just started your channel you can ask your friends your or relatives to subscribe to your channel .initially it is good like you will get 500 or 600 subscribers so that whoever will visit your channel can see that you have subscribers but to grow your channel you need loyal subscribers. those who are genuinely interested in your content otherwise having subscribers is of no use just focus on the quality of your content and observe the response of people to what they want to see.
